Nevus of Ito

Nevus of Ito is a congenital dermal melanocytosis first described by Ito in 1954 as nevus fusco-caeruleus acromiodeltoideus. It can be considered as a variant of nevus of Ota that cutaneously involves skin of the acromioclavicular and deltoideal region. Clinical, demographic, and histologic characteristics are similar to nevus of Ota and both lesions can occur simultaneously
